Join the conversation about holistic educating at the Educate the Whole Child panel at Grow In Greater Philadelphia (hosted by Teach For America -- Greater Philadelphia).

On Saturday, February 11th, hundreds of individuals from across the region will converge to be sustained, developed, and connected through professional development, networking, and knowledge sharing. Over the course of the day, almost 20 different sessions will focus on the idea of Radical Educators, Limitless Kids, and Alternate Philly.

Hip Hop Yoga Series

Lisa Nwankwo and Danielle Mancinelli, both certified RYT yoga instructors, will lead the group in a sixty-minute yoga flow, with DJ Sylo spinning your favorite feel good hip-hop beats. Juices and healthy treats will follow. 

All proceeds from the classes with benefit Bridge, a school-based yoga and narrative writing program serving the Philadelphia community.

Street Yoga Teacher Training

Invaluable weekend-long training with BRIDGE partner, Street Yoga. Founder Lisa Nwankwo was certified by Street Yoga in 2013.

from Street Yoga: Our Core Training offers an inspiring and heart-felt introduction to the field of service yoga for youth experiencing life challenges. The densely-packed 14-hour training focuses on a wide-variety of practical, hands-on skills needed to serve youth with yoga and meditation in the real world.  Areas for exploration and practice include communicating effectively, maintaining safety in the classroom, promoting healthy boundaries, choosing postures and exercises, handling challenging behaviors and situations, and collaborating with agencies.

Hosted at Grace and Glory Yoga in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia.

SEED 5.0 Competition

Come support BRIDGE as we compete in the SEED 5.0 Social Venture Entrepreneurship competition so that we can raise money, increase our impact, and make BRIDGE a revolution.

Supporting Entrepreneurship in Education (SEED) 5.0 is a business plan competition for early-stage education entrepreneurs in Philadelphia.  Finalists will pitch their ideas before an engaged audience of potential funders, users, collaborators, and community members.
